Lifestyle Senior

12.5.2008 | Filed in Lifestyle, Seniors |

It’s about time I got that Mustache post off of #1, scary stuff.  I was in Tulsa recently and some seniors took the opportunity to have their Senior photos done.  We went to downtown Tulsa and did a group shoot inspired by all the lifestyle catalogues that clog my mailbox and dazzle my mind this time of year.
If you’re still looking for that perfect gift and your teenager wants better pictures than everyone else in school we have gift certificates available!

Thanks to Rachel, Sam, Gabrielle, and Lauren for having me do these photos.  Ya’ll rocked it!

Bowling in the 70s

11.5.2008 | Filed in My Life |

Last week Sarah and I went to Kansas to visit our good friends Amy and Jeremy. Sarah and Amy have been best friends longer than Sarah and I have known each other. So it was nice to be able to go and just hang out with them for a few days. Despite all the love we have for their family our trip took a serious turn the day before we left. We were trying to think of something to do when, without any prior planning or warning, an epic 1970s bowling battle broke out. Your mind is about to be blown.

Checking out my perfectly sculpted facial hair, and there’s Amy and Jeremy trying to look cool.

The stage was set. Who would be the victor?

Sarah and I had some triumphs, taking an early lead.

Unfortunately, it soon became apparent that we were more concerned about striking a pose than scoring strikes. (see what I did there?)

Amy and Jeremy had unshakable confidence and their focus was intimidating.

Despite Sarah’s perfect form, we began to fall apart and lost our lead. Our joy quickly turned to despair.

We thought their gloating and victory dances were a bit over the top and unnecessary. There’s always next time and the Gilliam’s do not stay down for long! The Pummel’s better watch their back, because the 80s are just around the corner.
