Alice + Matt Riviera Maya Destination Wedding
April 5, 2011 | Filed Under Day After, Destination, Trash the Dress, Weddings | 2 Comments

Alice and Matt’s Riviera Maya, Mexico wedding was originally planned to take place on the beach at the beautiful Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, however it rained the entire time we were there. Despite the rain Alice and Matt were an absolute joy to photograph. A smile never left their faces, and they were thrilled to be marrying each other. As plans changed Alice and Matt, along with their friends and family were a true inspiration of love overcoming everything and having a great time with each other despite whatever circumstances came. The ceremony was moved to a traditional Mexican chapel, and the reception was changed to a hilariously amazing Star Wars themed night club! The day after the wedding as it continued to rain we went out armed with umbrellas determined to get some pool and beach photos, and the Day After session turned into more of a fun Trash the Dress session.
I am pleased to say that this wedding was also featured by Travel to I Do. Travel to I Do is a great resource for couples planning a destination wedding. They feature real destination weddings, inspiration, tips, and contests. I highly recommend that you check it out!

Morgan + Collin Southlake Wedding

Morgan and Collin had a lovely wedding and reception at Timarron Country Club in Southlake, Texas. Now that you have seen their engagement session in Plano, and her bridal session in Dallas, this ends Morgan and Collin’s gorgeous wedding journey with me. I am thankful to have them as clients and friends. I wish them the best in their married life together.

Thank you to Jason Huang from Table 4 Weddings for helping me out with this wedding and as always his work is amazing.

The capture by Jason on the right is so cool

Love the emotion at the end of the first dance and the Father-Daughter dance.

It’s best to not ask questions about this first picture, just go with it.

Jina and Mark Riviera Maya Wedding

I am always excited when wedding publications choose to feature my clients’ wedding story along with my photos. I am pleased to say that Destination I Do magazine’s blog featured Jina and Mark’s wedding last week! Make sure that you go and check out the feature.
Jina’s sister Mina had me photograph her wedding in Cancun last year. Jina spoke to me briefly while we were in Cancun saying that she was also planning a destination wedding. Short story, shorter: here are the photos from their beautiful wedding at El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya, Mexico! It was such a pleasure to join Mark and Jina along with their closest family and friends on the beach in Mexico to witness their wedding. Jina was radiant in a dress by Aire Barcelona and Mark was dapper in his Prada suit. I can’t recommend enough for future grooms to invest in a tailored suit instead of renting a tux! It rained a bit on the wedding day, but cleared up for the ceremony. We also had gorgeous weather to shoot some day after photos around the beach and the resort.

Love the look on their faces as they see each other for the first time!

Sisters make for a great destination wedding party.

A sweet dance with the father of the bride. Jina and Mark met at a Salsa dance club in Chicago, so it is only fitting that they tore it up performing an Argentine Tango as well as a little Salsa!
