Sunita and Nate were a dream to work with for their destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. They are from Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. They booked me for their wedding at Dreams Cancun almost a year ahead of time and the hardest part was waiting for their wedding to finally get here. After the intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends they planned nearly an hour and half for photos so we could take full advantage of our surroundings! I am so happy that I had the chance to join Sunita and Nate along with their friends in Cancun for this wedding.

Sometimes as a photographer everything just comes together to make an ideal situation for a shoot. That’s what happened for Morgan’s bridal session. Location, light, weather, vendors, and bride. We had already created a fun engagement session with vintage country flair, so I was excited when we came together again at Off the Grid for her bridal session with an urban pop edge. Morgan and Collin were married over the weekend at Timarron Country Club, so now I can share these with you. She wore a wedding gown by Watters and pretty pink shoes. Ashlee at Vision Art Studio did her makeup.

Morgan loves her dogs, and they were happy to pose in their wedding gear!

Finally, here’s a sneak peek of her wedding day with Collin.

In April I went to visit my Best Friends Forever, Nate and Lisa in Chicago. I can’t believe it’s already been a year and a half since they were married! We saw the sights, did some catching up and took photos in one of my favorite cities.

I made sure to get a famous Chicago Hot Dog in Millennium Park, and it was hilarious.

A lot of people pretend that they are too cool to be a tourist when visiting different places. I recommend taking some time doing cheesy things that only tourists do, there’s a reason tourists do them. We went on a deep dish pizza tour, learned about some Chicago history and met fun locals Mark and Lauren of Slice of Chicago Pizza Tours.

A mini photo shoot broke out in downtown Chicago. I love seeing my friends in love.
